Role: WordPress developer

Candidate profile
The ideal candidate has developed commercially successful websites on the WordPress framework. The right person should be able to demonstrate how he/she implemented a range of websites from brochure sites to highly transactional ecommerce sites. He/she should be able to talk through the software development life cycle in a way that non-technical people can understand the process and should be able to show example of bespoke development work, tailored to their client’s needs.

Required skills
• Minimum 2 years working with PHP and WordPress building websites including brochure sites,     ecommerce sites and customer defined functionality
• Minimum 2 years working with MySQL Server with experience in the creation of optimised database
 structures, views and stored procedures
• Minimum 1 year experience working with WordPress 3+. You must understand themes, plugins,
 custom types, taxonomies and feeds (XML/JSON) and have demonstrable development experience
 with some or all of these.
• Knowledge of other frameworks an advantage, especially Drupal
• Solid client side development skills including HTML5, CSS 2/3
• Good working knowledge of LAMP and WAMP environments
• Experience in the development of SOAP/XML Web Services and their consumption via Ajax and
 from mobile apps would be an advantage.
• Experience working with Social Media APIs an advantage (Ajax/PHP).
• Excellent communication and organisation skills.
