The role
The chief technology is responsible for establishing the company’s technical vision and leading all aspects of the company’s technology development. The CTO is the company top technology executive, playing an integral role in the company’s strategic direction, development, and future growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of technology strategy for technology platforms, partnerships, and external relationships.
- Lead strategic planning to achieve business goals by identifying and prioritizing development initiatives and setting timetables for the evaluation, development, and deployment of all technology projects.
- Being in charge of Ultimech’s Technology Development Centre
- Build and manage a top-flight technology team and oversee research and development, as well as project management.
- Evaluate and identify appropriate technology platforms for delivering the company’s services.
- Participate as a member of the senior management team in establishing governance processes of direction and control to ensure that objectives are achieved, risks are managed appropriately and the organization’s resources are used responsibly, particularly in the areas of software and platform development, office networks and computers, and telecommunications.
- Managing the execution of RFI
- Direct development and execution of an enterprise-wide information security plan that protects the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the company’s data and servers.
- Responsible for the all IT activities
- Establish and supervise a quality assurance process, including integration and system testing.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development best practices by attending relevant conferences and reading widely
- Ensure that technology standards and best practices are maintained across the organization.
- Ensure company technical problems are resolved in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Supervise recruitment, training, retention, and organization of all development staff in accordance with the company hiring process, personnel policies, and budget requirements.
- Ensure the company’s internal technological processes and customer-facing services comply with community expectations and applicable laws and regulations for privacy, security, and social responsibility.
- Anticipate and react to major technology changes to ensure the maintenance of company leadership in the competitive landscape.
- Identify technology trends and evolving social behavior that may support or impede the success of the business.
Essential skills
- Demonstrated ability to interpret technology and market trends as a foundation for technology and product roadmaps.
- Deep knowledge of software, platforms, different technologies, mobile, wireless, broadcast, applications, e-commerce, service and contents industry.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- At least 15 years in Engineering
- Consultancy background
- BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science required, MBA preferred.
- Fluent in written and spoken English
